Norfolk Waterfront looking north from over the Elizabeth River in 1975. Although the downtown reawas quite dense with offices and residences, much of what is seen here is has been replaced with new buildings. The warehouse district that existed along the waterfront has been replaced with shopping malls, apartments, luxury condos and high rise office buildings. Compared to some of our new aerials, the revitalization of Norfolk is quite obvious.
